This past weekend, Chris and I had a day out with some friends: Josh, Christina and Charles. Charles is also a native Southern Californian and even grew up in the same area I did. Charles puts on slideshow performances showcasing found slides and he used to give his own special tour of Los Angeles where he equates certain parts of the city to parts of Disneyland. Josh and Christina are old friends of Charles’ and Chris and I were lucky enough to tag along with them as they wandered the city. I was amazed at all of the things I did not know about this town. I was able to experience two very old Los Angeles landmarks for the first time (Clifton’s Cafeteria and Bob Baker’s Marionette Theater) and I had an absolute blast. As the title of this post implies, I was felt like I was experiencing Los Angeles again for the first time.
