Last month I had the pleasure of spending a few hours photographing E + D’s super cute and intimate wedding. They pulled the event together in a very short amount of time and their budget for photography was such that they couldn’t book one of my complete collections. But, it was important to them to have great photos of at least part of their day than it was to have mediocre photos of the entire day, so they hired me at my hourly rate for a few hours which meant I got to photograph a wedding AND go to dinner and a movie with my husband, all on the same day. It was amazing!
E + D are super private people so when they hired me they asked me not to blog images of them. I agreed, but then I saw all of the cute details they crafted for their wedding and so I asked if I could blog the details because I know many couples stumble upon my blog or read it regularly for design inspiration. Lucky for me they happily agreed! This backyard wedding was very well done, so I just had to share! The couple hired Elisa of Events by Elisa to coordinate their day and she helped pull all of the modern and crafty elements together for one cohesive look. I was smitten!
As if the wedding wasn’t cool enough, E + D opted to have two of their favorite food trucks do the catering – Kogi BBQ tacos for dinner and Coolhaus ice cream sandwiches for dessert. YUM. Just proof that a wedding can be stylish, intimate and backed by great vendors, even on a budget – all you have to do is spend your money on the things that are most important to you and the rest will take care of itself!
