So if you’re a frequent visitor of this blog you noticed that things started looking pretty different around here a few weeks ago. I’ve been in the thick of the re-branding process for the better part of the past year and the blog was the first public element to finally see the light of day.
I couldn’t be happier with my new brand—from the modern, yet whimsical logo to the more sophisticated version of Herbert the Owl (I like to tell people he grew up and went to law school so he can henceforth be known as Herbert, Esq.). With my new branding I knew that I wanted a much more minimalist look than I had last time. I wanted more sophistication without being stuffy. I wanted organic modern. I wanted to be proud of my brand and feel the message it sent was true to me. With the help of Ashley and the team at Luxecetera, I feel this was accomplished!
The process took a long time for me because it took me a while to figure out exactly what I wanted. Once I did, though, Ashley was ready to take the reigns and help my vision come to life. Re-branding is a really difficult process. How do you sum up your vision, your personality and your work in one neat little package? Not easily, I can tell you that! I don’t want to have to do it again for a very, very long time, so it works out that I’m completely thrilled with my brand.
Some of my newer clients may have already seen some of my newly branded packaging elements, but they’re not all ready yet so I’ll share photos of the whole kit ‘n caboodle once everything’s done. For now, I am so excited to announce that my new website is here and ready for browsing! I designed it using Showit to mimic the look of the blog, and in keeping with the theme, I wanted it to be minimalistic (but not boring) and simple. No bells and whistles here, just easy navigation that points to all the information you’re looking for. Perfect.
So, hop on over to the website to check it out, won’t you? There are still elements that I’ll be adding here and there (more ‘love notes’ and ‘about me’ facts), so check back often. And please be sure to tell me what you think!
