Machrie and Sean were married on a beautiful rainy day surrounded by their children, their family and their closest friends. They’re a modern day Brady Bunch, joining their two families to create an insta-family with five kids. During the reception I was snapping a photo of Machrie and Sean’s mother chatting at their table when Sean came and stood next to me, his face beaming with pride. “I’m quite a lucky man,” he said as he stared at his beautiful new wife share a laugh with his lovely mom. Taking part of moments like that is exactly why I love my job so much.
Thanks to Machrie and Sean and their family for allowing me to be a part of such a special day. I wish you nothing but joy and happiness! Here are a few favorites from the day.
Machrie and Sean both got ready at their home in Altadena, which added to the intimate feeling of the day.
Sean helped Machrie’s son, Tristan, put the finishing touches on his suit as Sean’s dad watched in the background. Such a sweet moment.

Their first look took place right in their own yard, which was incredibly special.
Originally we had planned to take portraits at Descanso Gardens, but rain didn’t like that idea, so Machrie and Sean reserved some time at the beautiful Castle Green instead and the partially covered grounds and beautiful indoor decor made stunning backdrops for portraits and allowed everyone to stay dry.
The reception was held at Rococo Room in Pasadena. This was my second time shooting there and it’s just the perfect place for an intimate dinner that feels special enough to make it an event. Laurel Birmingham of Bella Sophia Events was on hand to coordinate the day for Machrie and Sean and she was wonderful. Made my job extremely easy!

Their first dance was so much fun and I got some of my favorite first dance shots ever! Thanks to DJ Party Pros for providing the great tunes.
