Something I’ve discovered about myself recently is when I learn something new, I assume everyone else has either learned it at the same time or already knew it. So, I don’t readily share what I just learned because I don’t want to give people information they already have. And then I’ll come across someone who is still doing things in a roundabout way and has no idea there are tools out there to help them get the job done more efficiently. Finally sharing that knowledge is the theme of today’s post, and really Tech Tip Tuesday, in general.
When I first started on my journey to becoming a professional photographer, I didn’t have much to blog about in the beginning. Most, if not all, of my earliest blog posts were personal photos, and only one or two at that. It wasn’t until I blogged my first shoot and had 20+ images to share that I discovered what a chore blogging was. Individually resizing images and placing a watermark on each one was time consuming and frustrating, to say the least.
A couple of years ago an awesome Photoshop action set named BlogStomp was introduced to the market promising to shorten the time I would spend prepping blog images. As you can imagine, I snatched that action set up like my life life depended on it. And lo, the heavens did part, and the angels sang, and I had some of my precious time back. It’s recently come to my attention that not enough people know this wonderful tool exists, which is just a shame.
The action set has served me well but not too long ago the fine fellas over at BlogStomp released an app version that works independently and much faster than the action set. So there’s no need to open Photoshop. Adding BlogStomp to my workflow changed my life, no lie! So much time saved! No more frustration! Just pure awesome.
I was going to make another video to show how BlogStomp works, but the makers of the app have already done that, and theirs doesn’t have a single “umm” or “uhh” in it, so you know it’s better than I could do. ;)
Because I’m such a fan of the app, I reached out to the dudes at BlogStomp and let them know I was going to blog about their lovely product. Because they are rad, they were kind of enough to supply me with a discount code to offer to ya’ll. It’s good for a 15 percent discount, which is gravy because once you watch the video below, you’ll probably be willing to pay twice what it costs. But enter BLOGSTOMPLOVESHEIDIRYDER at checkout to save yourself some cash anyway!
